Manganese hair
It is 4 a.m. and I am worrying about my hair. In the last few months it has become brittle, frizzy straw and earlier today I learned my neighbor is having the exact same problem. Is it because of what's in our water, although everybody says it's safe??? Or is it because we are both brunettes?
I'm going back to bed to worry more about my hair.

um.................you re taking about the hair on your head, right?
Anyway, if so, you might want to try what all the black girls used to do in the 1960s on the south side of Chicago ner my home...mayonnaise, spread liberally throughout the hair.
They claimed it was healthy (made from eggs, full of protein and fat), made their hair shiny and very manageable, and in a pinch, could be used to rub a slice of bread against their head and you could make a tasty sandwhich with whatever meat/cheese was available (no accounting for whatever hair might embed itself into the mayonnaise on the bread).
